Thursday night I attended the On-Earz launch party @ The Club in Kings Cross, the new headphones hitting the shelf are promoted by Stan Walker who is the Ambassador for the brand in Australia and New Zealand. Stan, who also performed, hosted the evening’s festivities.
The evening also saw performances from X Factor finalists Young Men’s Society, Marvin Priest, Sammy G, Jessica Mauboy, Justice Crew and many more.
The On-Earz concept which originates from Belgium offers
style and personality compact to fit in with all lifestyles, from morning
commutes to having an early morning run along the beach, this along with
premium audio quality makes On-Earz the current must have accessory.
The brand has collaborated with Dick Smith to bring
Australia and New Zealand the latest in the new and must have quality
headphones. These new accessories come in a huge variety in styles, from baby
pink all the way to Zebra print (which Stan Walker designed himself personally),
when asking Stan why he chose Zebra print...his response was ‘I wanted to bring
back the Zebra’!
With an affordable price starting at around 50 bucks for the
Lollypop versions, you are able to have a few pairs and always fit in with the
latest fashions!

headphones)
The evening had a great feel intimate to it, the acts seemed
to take it more as a reunion seeing as the majority have collaborated or worked
together at some point in their careers.
I managed to chat with a few of the acts who turned up to support Stan and On-Earz for the launch......letting me know what they are up to at the moment and where we can catch them next..….

Stan Walker
After just completing a New Zealand made film, based around
a struggling family in the Bob Marley music era, Stan is now getting ready to
start work on a new track with far more of a soul/reggae feel to the music. He
sees it as going back to his roots!
Being the ambassador for On-Earz and an avid collector of
headphones, Stan is extremely proud of his personally designed set. Asking why
he chose animal print, Stan explained he wanted to bring back the 'zebra'. Taking
his headphones everywhere with him and seeing real value in their quality, Stan
is extremely excited to be the face for the brand in Australia and New Zealand.Telling me how much he loved the UK, especially London style and culture, Stan then showed me his ASOS application on his iphone...proving to be a young man after my own heart this cemented for me Mr Walkers good taste!
Being a very sincere and family orientated person, Stan has a team of advisors around him who are all family members and long-time friend’s, he made it clear how much he values his mum. With so much positivity around him I expect more fantastic things to come from this and can't wait to catch him on the big screen music and movie wise towards the end of the year!

Jessica Mauboy
After just returning back from the Cannes film festival,
Jessica is currently promoting her new movie. A story in which Jessica plays
one of 4 aboriginal women in Australia back in 1968, giving a portrayal of how
life was in that era during the Vietnam War, she is very excited to see where
the next few months will take her.
Recently back from filming over in Vietnam, she is now looking
forward to enjoying a quiet few months writing her next album and kicking back with friends and family. The future sees
Jessica heading over to the UK and working with the same writers responsible
for the success of Jessie J, there is certainly allot more for us to see and
hear by the end of 2012.
Young Men's Society
Watching them in rehearsals and performing later on in the
evening, it’s clear where YMS get their inspirations from. Moves like MJ and
sounds of Usher, all the young girls are flocking to catch a glimpse of the
young cheeky trio. If you like Usher and MJ in their early days, YMS's feel good tracks are ones to check out.
Justice Crew
These bunch of talented boys from a mix of Australian and New Zealand
backgrounds came together through dance. After 2 separate dance crews split,
the members who still wanted to dance and entertain formed their own
crew....'Justice Crew'
Being together dancing and singing for 3 years now and finding success after appearing on Austalia's got talent before collaberating with Flo Rida, the crew
are set to release their new single 'Boom Boom' very soon while fans wait with anticipation. With a huge following in
Asia, Europe looks set to be next on the cards for the 7 strong crew.
Marvin Priest
London born Marvin, responsible for current tracks ‘Take me
away’ ft Wynter Gordon and ‘Own this club’, is getting ready to promote his new single ‘Are
you ready’ set for release in the upcoming weeks.
The singer who has a cheeky smile and energetic personality,
and was once actually a sparky back in the UK, is now taking over the dance
scene by storm. Excited for the future release of an upcoming album, (not yet
named), Marvin said the album is keeping with his Dance/Party music feel which
has made him so successful, with a Reggae feel mixed in.
Being the son of Reggae star Maxi Priest, Reggae can only
come naturally to the London born singer. I know this is one iTunes purchase I will definitely
be looking forward to making!
The night ended as a huge success for On-Earz/Dick Smith and Stan Walker, with stars and fans partying at The Club in Kings Cross until the early hours.
Wanting to see for myself after the launch how good this new product from On-Earz was, I tested out my baby pink lollypop headphones out en route to the office this morning, they are certainly going to become part of my morning ritual ;)
Few personal piccies from the evening
